Publishers Paris and Den Hollander join the XPOSI Digital Library
Significant progress was made in the past year in the area of digitisation of legal literature. The development of the XPOSI Digital Library has played an important role in this respect. A number of major publishers have supported the development of the XPOSI Digital Library from the start. Now, the e-books of publishers Paris and Den Hollander will also be made available on the XPOSI platform, in addition to those of Wolters Kluwer and Boom Juridische Uitgeverij.
As more publishers join Square's digital book platform, this platform offers legal professionals an increasingly wider product range. New publications of affiliated publishers are made available on the platform soon after they are published. This means that users have access to a complete and up-to-date product range that can be viewed anywhere and on any device using the XPOSI Viewer.
Square is collaborating with the publishers on the exchange of correct and high-quality metadata regarding the publications. The publishers are also working on the optimisation of the digital products, for example by providing good tables of content.
Books that are not made available in digital format by the publishers can still be digitised. In collaboration with a number of publishers, the entire library of Van Doorne law firm was digitised in this manner during the past year. Click here if you would like to read more on this topic.
It is expected that a number of additonal publishers will be joining the platform in the coming period. In the meantime, links with the legal content integration systems will be created and Square will also further optimise the system.
